Major General Richard V. Secord (Ret.),
Chairman of the Board
Richard Secord is the Chairman of the Board for SoCoSIX Strategies LLC and serves as an advisor on Military Affairs and International Security Relations. Richard V. Secord is a retired Major General, USAF. In his military career he was the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Near East, Africa & South Asia), headed the USAF Directorate of International Affairs, was in charge of worldwide Air Force foreign military sales, he served as the US Commander in Iran, and was the CIA Air Officer-in-charge in Laos. He is a graduate of West Point, the USAF Air Command & Staff College, the U.S. Naval War College.
Colonel Richard T. Ryer (Ret.),
Chief Executive Officer
Richard T. Ryer is the CEO of SoCoSIX Strategies LLC and acts as a resource for clients with international and/or special overseas requirements. In his decorated military career, Colonel Ryer served as a combat pilot with the 603rd Special Operations Squadron at Bien Hoa Air Base, an Air Officer Commanding at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Air Attaché to Saudi Arabia, security assistance staff officer reporting to the United States European Command Headquarters in Stuttgart, Chief of the Office of Defense Cooperation in Montevideo, and the Defense and Air Attaché to te Philippines. Mr. Ryer is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He also holds a Master’s Degree in National Security Affairs and Middle East Studies from the Naval Post Graduate School.
Ambassador Mark G. Hambley (Ret.),
Mark Hambley is a Managing Partner of SoCoSix Strategies, LLC (SSS) where develops discrete solutions for public, private, and governmental individuals and entities on a range of physical risk, travel, intelligence, assessment, surveillance, technological, and cyber-related issues. Mark is a veteran of over 32 years in the U.S. Foreign Service that included exposure to global political, economic, and environmental currents, with particular emphasis on the Middle East where he served as U.S. ambassador to Qatar and Lebanon. He is on the Executive Committee of the Middle East Policy Council and is a Trustee of the Next Century Foundation. He received an Honorary Doctorate in 2012 for his efforts at conflict resolution in several war zones and continues to travel internationally in these and other professional capacities.
Stephen R. Korfonta,
Chief Operations Officer
Steve Korfonta is the Chief Operations Officer for SoCoSIX Strategies LLC and manages day to day operations for both Corporate and Government operations. Mr. Korfonta joined the US Army in 2002 and served on active duty until 2014. He served in numerous Combat Arms and Special Operations assignments to include service in Ranger and Special Forces Units. While assigned he served in numerous capacities conducting Combat Operations and full spectrum Intelligence Operations in the Near East, Far East, North Africa, East Africa, and South America. After separating from active duty, Mr. Korfonta served with US Government programs operating in high threat environments overseas. Mr. Korfonta continues his service as a US Army Reservist.

As a partner in the company, Steve fulfills an architectural role, developing go-to-market strategies and service deliverables that demonstrate the unique distinction of the capabilities of SoCoSix Strategies. Steve is ultimately responsible for the company’s growth efforts to include marketing, sales and relationship management & channel partner relationships. Steve brings over 2 decades of successful corporate sales and marketing experience stemming from local, regional, and international security companies. Steve has held several leadership roles in some of the largest and most iconic brand names in the industry including; Burns International, Pinkerton, Securitas, and Allied Universal.
Chief Administrative Officer
Shannon Pressley is the Chief Administrative Officer for SocoSIX Strategies, LLC. A founding partner, she brings to her position fifteen years of experience dealing with veteran related issues. Her core skills range from accounting to cyber investigation. She helps manage our discreet inquiries portfolio and promotes our relationships with our growing list of domestic and international partners and affiliates.
Executive Vice President
Pat Smith is a partner in the company playing an instrumental role in operations, strategic planning and relationship management. After serving six years with the U.S. Army Special Forces, he joined the private sector and has developed a 20-year reputation as a developmental leader and strategic operator holding several critical executive roles with local, national, and international contract security companies. Pat brings a high level of expertise in protective operations ranging from large multinational corporations to technology to local operations in nearly all industries.
